About Us
Acme Center for Research in Wireless Communications (ARWiC) situated at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Islamabad has been engaged in outstanding research in the area of Wireless Communications and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), since 2007. The group is lead by Dr. Noor M. Khan and curently, it comprises of 8 Ph.D. and 10 M.Sc. students. The group deployed a WSN test bed in 2009 in order to analyse the theoretical research ideas with practical field experiments. The test bed is comprised of Sun Microsystem's Sun SPOT sensor kits. The group has published more than 40 research papers in journals and conferences of international repute, since its formation. The group has also maintain collaborative linkages in field of research and development with reputable international research groups. The research interest of the group include Wireless and Cellular Mobile Comm. Systems, Physical Channel Modeling, Fading Channel Characterization, Smart Antennas, MIMO Systems, Adaptive Signal Processing, Multi User Detection, Energy Efficient Routing, and Node Localization in WSNs.
